WIPtrac UpGrades Backend Processing
for
Semiconductor Fabs

Santa Barbara Analysis, the developers of WIPtrac MES Shop Floor Control Manufacturing Execution Software, announced the upgrade of WIPtrac to further enhance its Semiconductor wafer BackEnd processing capabilities.

This is an upgrade that allows a semiconductor plant to track both wafers and die as the process moves from wafer fabrication to wafer probe, dice, packaging and test.

According to Daniel Clark, Director of Communications for Santa Barbara Analysis, "We have included numerous new features that facilitate this tracking easily. New System Transactions like Probe, Transform to Die Count, Good Die Adjust, Linked Part Transfer and Linked Part Convert allow for the configuration of numerous ways of moving your inventory from wafer to probe, to test, to packaging, to finished goods, keeping track of yield all along the way."

"Several of our installations have begun migrating from their previous WIPtrac configurations that track die to take advantage of these new features. They have simply created new traveler flows for the backend portion of their fabs using the new transactions and moving their Lots onto them."
